bumps/rash on lips

Hi-

I have been noticing lately that I keep getting these tiny red bumps on my lips lately, along with occasional chapping/peeling. I've tried researching it online but all I can find is about herpes, but the pictures don't look the same. I'm wondering if this might be an allergic reaction to something, or just from dryness, or if I should actually be concerned. Any advice would be appreciated.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be due to Fordyce spots( if you had thesde bumps earlier) or cheilitis due to atopy. Cheilitis(Inflammation of the skin on and around the lips)is often seen in atopic dermatitis. Treatment is by topical steroids or oral therapy of corticosteroids in severe cases.Topical creams like tacrolimus ointment (Protopic) and pimecrolimus cream (Elidel) are also useful. Till then keep your lips well moisturized.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. Treatment can be started only when the diagnosis is confirmed. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
