Sounds like the scabies mite to me. If you have white, clear fluid blisters along the hands, wrist, feet, and in adults, little red dots can appear on the feet and abdomen. Even the genitalia area.

The most common transmission is through sex, although the mites can be transmitted just by coming in contact with someone infected.

Hydrocortisone helps for the itch and Permethrin is used to kill the mites. Lice treatment cream can work since it has a 1% solution of Permethrin in it. Although, in more severe cases, going to the doctor and getting a 5% solution will also do the trick.

They can test for scabies by scraping skin samples around the infected areas. If you get the lice treatment, which I've used before successfully and am using again, you want to apply ALL OVER the body from head to foot. Paying special attention to areas where you have skin on skin contact. Such as armpits, the back of the knees, the webs of you hands and feet, etc. I did it twice a day. Wash it off by showering, then re-apply. Do this until both bottles are gone. Prescription Permethrin is used once I believe. Unless the case is severe. Then other prescriptions might get involved.

The mite can live outside the body for up to 24 to 48 hours. So washing your clothes, sheets and even covering your furniture WILL help. HIV or HPV can be considered, but I stick with my conclusion of scabies. But it never hurts to be tested for all 3... :)

Hope this helps. :) I'm dealing with this stupid pest for the second time in my life now. :(

I've been a chronic eczima sufferer for most of my life but I only started getting these about 7 years ago.  I thought it was very strange that I only got them on my finger tips, but now they have spread to my palms.  I've researched a bit in medical journals and it turns out that the skin is one of the first places you build antibodies to infection/virus's.

The reaction in the skin seems to be caused by the skin attempting to fight against an allergen (Something the body can't create an antibody for) and a common allergen is cortisol, which your body creates during stress.  Unfortunately they both result in the same reaction, your body swelling and attacking with white blood cells an area that can't be killed, so the cells attack healthy cells instead.  This causes itching.  Itching introduces bacteria etc, and also causes plaques (Hard skin buildup) to occur which leads to more scratching.

Hot water and hard soaps also takes off the top layer of oil and acids which are your natural skin barrier.

Calamine lotion works well on the blisters and perhaps it will dry them out.  But I realized that I usually have a sensitive reaction to any anti-bacterial soap, and that whatever is in it (Perhaps the scent) causes this reaction in my hands.  I would avoid using those anyway since there's a good possibility of creating highly resistant bacteria, which is becoming a serious problem (wikipedia MRSA).

Now the blistering itself is listed in wikipedia under Dyshidrosis looks similar to what I had on the feet, but not the hand.  I have also had these blisters on the soles of my feet, and it seemed like an antifungal did the trick.

It's just possible that the reaction has enough ability to  break down cells that other biology, such as fungi and bacterium can enter, especially in broken skin.

Maybe a skin cleanser like Oxy-clean pulls out the chemical the skin is reacting too, and also kills the bacteria?

Guys suffering from same issue with blisters mainly on hands and feet fingers, went to see dermatologist who diagnosed as Lichen Planus rear form, the only thing works to dry them is poring potassium permaganate liquid (make it baby pink color)over the infected area & apply centraben lotion afterwards, it can take upto 18 months to heal & trigers with stress. Try some blood purifier from herbal shops.

I went to 6 skin docs and 3 walk in clinics, was given all kinds of madness. Was totally stuned when the monostat worked lol. Now 7 days after the intial flare up, all I have left is the redness, no flaking skin, no blisters, no pain nothin! My flare ups would hit and last for 6 or 7 weeks before it would calm down and then start to clear up. Now it looks like I have a patchy sunburn on my left palm. Which I will GLADLY take ANYDAY over the blisters and embarassment.

You guys will thinks im nuts but follow me and hear me out on this. I have a Cocker Spaniel (they are notorious for yeast infections of the outer ear) I have to use Monostat 7 on the inner flap of his ears for it. For some who may not know, it is a yeast infection anti-itchy cream for the ladies. I was battling a bad bout with his ears and un-knowingly had gotten some on the palm I have had the blisters on for 4 yrs now (only have had the dog for 18 months, knew what you was thinkin lol). Believe it or not, it cleared up the little blisters where I had gotten the cream. It took me a minute to realize what had happened, so for 4 days, 2 times a day I applied it and my ENTIRE palm cleared up of ALL the blisters, except for the redness and I still had to battle the scaley peeling skin afterward but non-the-less it stopped the outbreak. It helped with the itch, the inflamation and all that stuff. It is absorbed by the skin fairly quick too so it is not all greasy after it soaks into the skin, bout 10 minutes. Like I said been through bout 6 creams an all kinds of other remedies and this is the ONLY thing that has helped with any kind of speed and noticable results. I got the Walgreens Clotrimazole Anti-fungal 7 Day Treatment. It helped me and thought I would pass it along incase it would help some one else. Good luck!
