Better pain reliever for swelling?

My arm is swelling right now after an insect bite. I suspect it got infected because it was just a tiny bump a few days ago, now it looks like a tiny hill. It’s on my triceps but I can feel the pain in my whole arm and shoulder. I’m just curious which pain reliever to take for the swelling. I’ve gotten suggestions like Tylenol and Advil. Not sure which one to take. Any suggestions? Preferably the drug is safe to bring for travel since I’m assisting a multiple city singles tours and I would’ve to be travelling constantly. Thank you!

If it's an insect bite, you need something topical.  If it's an old bite, cortisone creams are probably best.  If it's new you can try anti-histamine creams.  If you think it's infected go to your doctor ASAP, because then you'll need antibiotic ointments or if it's really bad something internal.  I'm not sure how an insect bite gets infected, because it's not really a cut that bacteria gets into, it's an immune system reaction to the insect saliva left behind after you've been bitten, unless you were bitten by something poisonous.
