I have a small bump, or pimple like growth on my penis.

When in the shower I noticed that I have a small lump along my shaft. I was alarmed and proceeded to squeeze it. It excreted a small amount of 'puss' and then blood followed. I am not sexually active, thus the area was not groomed. This eliminated razor burn, STD/Is and ingrown hairs.

After getting out the shower it had a purple colour to it, most likely bruised from the squeezing.

Should I be alarmed or concerned?

Have you had any other lumps?  I don't know that I would be alarmed unless you continue to see the issue occur again- if it gets painful or you see more appear, I'd get to your doctor so they can check it out.
