No misunderstanding I drink hot water because it is more palatable than cold there is diffrent benefits cold water especially ice slows down the metabolism hot breaks down certain fats and helps with digestion an therefore has opposite effect an I personally like it hot as has a better diffrent tast than cold can also add any natural flavour u like ie ginger honey lemon especially nice maby a herbal tea but try it plain u may like i drink cup after cup and can't with cold or room temp tho room temp is healthy too i only tend to sip its good highly recommend it possible more health benefits than i know :)

If it is getting worse a trip to a doctor may be in order. You seem to take care of yourself. It could be anxiety or something more. I would get checked out. Get some tests done.

Gotta ask - why do you drink hot water? Or did I misunderstand.
