Grade 5 Heart Murmur

My 7 year old Corgi cross fox terrior has been diagnosed with a Grade 5 Heart murmur. She has Kennel cough for 2months which we all seem to think has escalated the heart murmur.

I was wondering if anyone can help me with info on having surgery, this baby of our is a massive part of our family and it would break my heart to have to put her down.

We seem to be at the end stages so any contribution would be great.

So sorry about your news. I lost a dog to heart failure several years ago and I understand your pain. I don't know about surgery. But when my Zoe dachshund got a barely-detectable heart murmur I started her on a supplement that has prevented hers from worsening for several years. It might be worth a try.
