I Have a 7 and a half month old cane corso named blue, he is somewhat house trained if we are around he will cry and bark to go use the bathroom but if we aren't around he will just use the bathroom anywere ! we give him discipline but he seems to not care and just does it whenever he feels how can i stop this ? i also want to know how to stop him from being so destructive, he tears the pool tarp up, the welcome home mat, and many other objects how can i stop this ?! Please help !
The problems you describe are often the result of the dog not getting enough exercise and attention. This would apply in particular to chewing and tearing, and of course, if left alone for periods longer than the biological needs will result in "accidents"
Our older Westie seems to have a very strong control as he has no accidents even if inside for 12 hours (not along) but either sleeping or the weather makes it uncomfortable to go outside. He will wait. This dog was a rescue and he came home with us at an estimated age of 8, and was already very good about toilet and not chewing stuff. Guess we had a bit of luck there, not so much on other health issues.
