Ready to Cry

The pain is back.  It might even be worse than before.  The time has come for more surgery.  That is wonderful news it's been almost 6 months since my last one.
However, I am super pissed off.  I have a bill from my last surgery still and they won't see me until half of my bill is paid off.  I need to find a way to come up with $1,800.  I have no idea how I am going to do that.  I mean we may have to try and get a loan, but that really might not be a very good idea, because we'll just be moving our debt and wind up paying more because my bill has no interest on it right now.  Any loan will.
I can't work right now, because the pain is so bad, and my poor husband works 40 hours a week in retail.  We owe rent and still have to pay for other living expenses.  Seriously?  I can't make money magically appear.   We tried to talk to them and they came down from the entire bill to half of it.  I hate our medical system in the US, it's broken and needs fixing.

I, too have to wait. Thankfully it won't be too much longer until our tax return comes. I just want to get this damn surgery out of the way and start recovering. I don't understand why they care so much about money. I saw someone when I lost my insurance who had no guarantee that she would ever get paid. And then she didn't get paid until after my daughter was born. I was even set to get a month off from work and my husband had put in the request for a week off. I was never told this was how it worked when I went in for my appointment and they had plenty of opportunities to do so.
