Hi,

My 4 year old son (Karthilk) is mentally retarded and autistic. He was born normal and when he was 11 months old , we noticed that he could not able to sit independently. Then we took him to Suresh Rao Aroor , he took EEG and BAER test and told that his EEG was not normal. He proposed NORMABRAIN and MECONERV. We continued this medicine for one year. Then we moved to Sweden and we are back to india now.

Now I want to continue his treatment in Bangalore, can any one suggest the dest pediatric neurologist in Bangalore other than suresh rao aroor.

I'm sorry to read this about your son.  I think that the best way to find a good person to help your son is to ask around, make friends with other people who have children that need similar help.  Maybe do some research online, and keep looking around.  Good luck and keep us updated.

Hi, thanks for your suggestion.. I searched in net and found one doctor by name Dr. Taranath Shetty in bangalore manipal hospital. But it seems he is not working there any more...Do any one knows where he currently works

hi, My daughter is 10 yrs old and Epileptic. I have moved to Bangalore last year. Shes under Dr.Suresh Rao Aroor's treatment since 4months...is he not a good doctor  for Epilepsy?Please enlighten me as 10 yrs of suffering is too long for my lil angel and dont wish to see her suffer for some more years because of wrong treatment....

Hi all. My nephew is 3 years old. As soon as he turned 3 every Monday he gets a seizure. It has been 5 Mondays already . Every Monday he was give high dosage of anti convulsants intravenously . He is on valparin. He has developmental delay as well . Mri reports were normal. eeg reports mentioned right occipital mild dysrythmia. Can anyone please suggest a good doctor ?

There is no better hospital for Neuorological problem than NIMHANS, not only in Bangalore but in India. The doctors are kind, listening and knowlegable. They will go to the root of the problem and rectify it.
They treat everyone rich or poor alike and gives sufficient time to each patient. You need to have patience and sometimes may have to wait whole day, since there are large number of patients from all over India (and outside India also).
It is a pity if you are in Bangalore and still not consulting the best neurological hospital in India.

Pl consult Dr Satish Chandra in NIMHANS. Just check his profile and you will know about him. There is no better neuorologist in Bangalore than him.
I had also suffered initially for my son's problem and this is based on my personal experience.

Just saw your comment and wanted to know more. My son is just 4 months old and he is having Seizure from last two months. We are staying in hyderabad now(moved from bangalore) and now he is under the treatment of Dr lokesh from rainbow Hospital. However after having 4 different types of medicines still he is having seizure but for short duration. We are planning to consult with Dr Suresh rao Aroor now, we want to know from you if your daughter got relief after Dr Suresh treatmnet. Did your daughter responded to the treatmnet. Please advise us so that we will feel that we are going to a right person for treatment.

Hi My Son is 14 months old. He had Seizure in the 5th  month. From that Time he is been Given GARDENAL 30 mg every day. half  Tablet in morning and Half Tablet in the Evening.

1. from 5th months onwards he as not gain weight at all. from 5 to 13 months only 800 grams is been gained. But there is NO Seizures

2.He as having Delayed milestone Also. he just Started seat on his Own
We are consulting Suresh Arror.

Hi, My daughter is 11months now. she has myoclonic jerks (started when she was 8months). I got scared as none in the family has it.

We are consulting Dr Nalini Shakaran. And we are results are visible. We have done EEG, Blood Test, MRI & CT scan.. All came normal.

We hare giving sodium valproate syrup as per doctor advice. She is good. Now, jerks are reduced but not completely stopped. As per doctor, we need to continue medicine till 3years.

Kindly let me know, if any other doctor we need to consult.

My son 1.7 yr old having the head jerks after he wakes up.we are cinsulting with dr taranqth shetty he suggested sabril which is having lots of side effect...now also he started soduim valporate ..cqn any body tell me how much dose shouod I give,.. why I m asking this because two bangalore dr.
