I lefte physical exercise 8-9 years ago. I don't smoke or drink. Now my age is 43 and taking 3 tablets (200 mg/per day) Any one give the question of my answer, it is normal to have this blood pressure while taking Tegretol. Last six month when my doctor took my blood pressure it was 140/60.
Hi,
Common side effects include drowsiness, motor coordination impairment and/or upset stomach.Less common side effects include cardiac arrhythmias, blurry or double vision and/or the temporary loss of blood cells or platelets and in rare cases can cause aplastic anemia.
Carbamazepine may cause SIADH (syndrome of inappropriate anti-diuretic hormone), since it both increases the release and potentiates the action of ADH (vasopressin). This raises blood pressure by inducing moderate vasoconstriction.
Thus you could say it is an indirect side-effect of tegretol.
