What Causes Temporal Love Epilepsy?

I wish I could get an answer to that as well. I was dx with temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) a few months ago and taking Trileptal (450 mg per day), it seems to be working pretty well for me (I was having simple partial seizures and still have some aura on occasion, I will be talking to my neurologist about this on the next appointment). My neurologist was not able to tell me what caused it, I don't think I ever had a head injury. He did say that my severe complex sleep apnea made it worse, but was not the cause.
