How long have you had EBV (AKA: post viral syndrome) ?

I have had this for the last 7 months and praying to get better every day. All 3 of my numbers are elevated.

Tell me about CREBV. I got EBV back in the late 90's I formed the antibodies about five years later but this past November 2008 it was reactivated with my numbers as high as an original infection.

I have had Chronic Reactivation of the EBV (CREBV) for almost 4 years. I am going through a lot of health problems now. Some I believe that are related to this reactivation.

Click on my profile and then my pics. I uploaded an abdominal ct scan interpretation. I haven't seen the doctor yet to discuss them. I do have an appointment the 29th. My list of ailments are really not updated. I do hate to add to them :)

You do wonderful work here and I am really thankful. I did belong to Pro health's CFS/FM board a couple of years ago. I kept getting kicked off for no reason :) Then heart problems started back and I had to totally concentrate on those.

Now it seems I have some new things like Barrett's Esophagus to deal with. I was diagnosed with B.E. a couple of months ago.

No I was never offered an antiviral, but I took lots of natural anti-virals. The doctor did offer me an anti-depressant which he said would help with the neck and shoulder stiffness! lol  I didn't take it. I think I have fought the good fight well with EBV, but unfortunately I ended up with Hashimotos autoimmune thyroid disease. I think it was the New England Journal of Medicine that I first started reading about them finding EBV as one of the causes of Hashimotos and auto-immune diseases.
Did you take an antiviral?

Did your endo give you anything for antivirals, etc ??

My endo diagnosed me with active EBV about 5 yrs ago and handed me disablility papers. He said most people become disabled for many years and it can take years for the virus to burn itself out. My mother was sick with it for 7 yrs. She is now completely recovered and healthy. My 12 yr old daughter was diagnosed with activated EBV this past spring.

Wow, I thought the majority by far would be over a year!  Although I guess not a whole lot of people have voted....
