Gaining!

Gaining!

I am gaining weight and too wonder why.
I am 5'-4" and weighed 117/118 now I weigh 125.  I am 43 years old.
I have always worked out 5-7 days a week on the elliptical and have done some weights. I would work out 25 minutes on the elliptical and do three stomach machines.  That's it!

I am faithful to working out and highly motivated.  I kept the weight off for 3 years until this past May.

Since the end of May I have revamped my work out to include 3 different elliptical machines (working different muscle groups) for longer periods of time (45 minute sessions now) and working out two times a day. I have also added P90X into my routine last week. The morning session being my hardest and the evening session being easier.  I am doing weights 4 times a week.  I am not eating more and I don't think I am eating less.  I rarely drink.  I have really been working my butt off.  I can understand weighing the same but NOT weighing more!  My measurements haven't changed and my dress size hasn't changed.  I thought I'd drip the pounds off with how hard I am working out. One more piece of information:  I just started taking Lexapro (5 mg) daily for the past 4 weeks. (Mid-40's!!! ARG) After reading the forum, could that be the culprit? What am I doing wrong?  Mentally the scale is getting to me(feel great/ish btw) but I have learned that the scale DOES NOT lie.

Hello!

Talk with a dietician and make a proper healthy diet chart of maximum 2000 calories per day.

You are working out enough so there is no reason to worry.

Continue some form of cardio regularly such as running, jogging, skipping, elliptical, cycling, treadmill or swimming. Change to different forms of cardio for losing weight.

But for you I would not suggest any  further weight loss as you are in normal BMI.

Take care!
