Pain near the eye

Pain near the eye

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. The last few weeks when I very lightly touch around the end of my eye brow (near the temple)or above the end of the eye brow about a centimeter, I get the sensation of pain behind my eye. I only have to brush my finger nails across that area for it to cause pain. If I do not touch it, I am in no pain and the pain stops immediately when I stop touching the area. It is only in one eye and I have not experienced any pain touching the eye itself or moving the eye. I have had no problems with vision or any other problems with my eye. Yesterday, I kept touching that area and today I can feel a little pressure in my eye. Any information would be helpful. Thank you again!

could be a bunch of different things.  what exactly it is difficult to speculate not knowing your age, etc.

possibilities:

temporal arteritis: inflammation of blood vasculature around temples, eyes

migraine

allergies/sinus

many more.  you need an examination.
