red EYE

by uk2la, May 27, 2006 12:00AM
My eye "white" is red and slightly swollen, not really weeping, not itchy, for 3 days so far. Felt a little gritty or like an eyelash was in but no one could see any debris in eye. Why and what should I do to make it normal? I've tried eye drops worked temporarily. A bit crusty in morning.

i have no idea.  no one does w/o seeing you.  red eyes are notoriously difficult to diagnose over the phone or internet, etc b/c there's literally about 60 things that could cause it.  unfortunately no description you could give me would be enough information.

you need to go to an ophthalmologist or optometrist and be evaluated.
