Corneal Abrasion not healing?

Corneal Abrasion not healing?

A little over a month ago I had something fall from a ceiling into my eye and caused a corneal abrasion.  I was prescribed anti-biotic drops to be put into my eye.  They told me that it would take up to 2 weeks to heal...however, it does not feel as though it has.  I still feel as though there is something in my eye and it bothers me quite a bit.  Air moving across it hurts, and on occasion bright sunlight makes it somewhat ache (best description) and gives me an instant headache.  Could it be possible that it is taking longer than usual to heal or that there is further damage that the ER Dr. did not see?

A corneal abrasion heals in a day or so.  You need to see an ophthalmologist ASAP!!!
