Dense cataracts
My mother is has a dense cataract in one eye and had to get some testing done to determine the density of the cataract.  Since I thought a cataract surgery involved removing the cloudy lens, my first question is does a dense cataract pose complication when removing the lens? Second question: what is the probabilty of developing or getting a ruptured capsule with the cataract surgery ? Thank you.

A dense cataract is harder to remove and there is an increased risk of a ruptured capsule.
