Ducts itch but not eyes

My tear ducts have been itching for some time but now not my eyes. I am not having a tearing problem and I can still feel drainage from when my eyes water in my nasal cavity. What can be the cause of the problem, how can I fix it and can this be causing dark circles under my eyes/

The tear duct can be blocked as it goes into the nose or the "pipe" in the duct can get clogged with matter, pus, can scar shut. See an Eye MD about trying to get it open. Find one at www.aao.org
