Is it possible to remove lipids from retina?

Hello,
I have diabetic retinopathy and I am wondering if there is anything I can do to remove the fat that has currently been deposited there.  I think occular injections (OW!!!!) of some type of medicine is supposed to strengthen the weakened blood vessels in my eye but what about the lipids that are already present?  Will they go away?

The lipid will gradually resolve if the injection stop the leakage.
