Post surgical blindness

I had a cataract operation 3 days ago. I can still see nothing but a fog with black specks that move when i move my head. My surgeon says that I have corneal edema and that he can't see in my eye . My symptoms don't seem like the ones for corneal edema, my vision isn't just blurred it is non existent. What else could it be? and what should I do? A

If you had a large, hard cataract and/or a weak cornea than corneal edema is not unusual. Severe corneal edema can reduce vision to just light perception. I suggest another visit to your surgeon today or tomorrow.

If you are not reassured then ask for a second opinion.
