Prism and sphere in the same glasses?

Prism and sphere in the same glasses?

Can you have prism and  + sphere in the same pair of glasses? I was prescribed 2 diopter base in prism in both eyes for one pair of my glasses and another pair I have +1.00 in the left eye and +.75 in the right eye. I was wondering if it's possible to have these combined and curious why my doctor didn't do this in the first place. I know I have a slight farsightedness in my left eye so I don't understand why she didn't add +.25 to my left eye and then the 2 base in prism.

Yes you can have both.  You will need to ask the "eye doctor" that wrote your RX why they did it.
