Pterygium surgery. Redness/recovery

Pterygium surgery. Redness/recovery

I had a pterygium removed on my left eye on April 6th 2010. It was the surgery where a transplant was used with stitches.

Where the growth was is still red, but can sometimes look great. However on the far side of my eye where the pterygium wasn't growing has also been red since the surgery. The far side had never been red before surgery. It was always the nasal part where the redness was.

Why is my eye still red and why is the other side of my eye suddenly red after surgery? It's been nearly a year now and not very happy with it most of the time.
