Sore, puffy, dry, red eyelids...

Out of the blue, this year I have had three bouts of red, puffy, dry skin around my eyes. It occurs on the inner edge of the eye, next to my nose and flares up above and below the eye. The skin goes red,  very dry,  puffs up and lines form.  I have tried a number of things but Vaseline petroleum  jelly so far has worked the best.  It doesn’t seem to “depuff” my eyes very quickly but rehydrates the skins and the swelling eventually reduces (about 2-4 days). However, yesterday I applied Calendula Sore Skin Relief and the improvement was almost immediate.  Within a few hours the skin was soft and the swelling and lines had almost gone.  This latest bout has lasted almost 2 weeks and today is the first time I have looked normal.  I think my problem is allergy related and I suspect a shampoo that I started using 6 months ago.  The first ever bout of this problem was just after I started using this shampoo.
