decompensating exophoria

Can you please give me some information on decompensating exophoria what it is and how is it treated

It means that your eyes are starting to turn outward and that the fusion mechanism that keeps a deviation in control (phoria) is failing. Treatment in children sometimes includes alternate patching, glasses if there is a refractive error, over minusing glasses, convergence exercises like pencil push-ups.

Most of these are not helpful and if the eye goes out and stays out or is out most of the time in an adult surgery is usually recommended.

Be sure you're seeing a pediatric/strabismus ophthalmologist.
