eye blurriness

I woke up this morning with my left eye very blurry and feeling as tho something is in it (kind of scratchy and tired). What might be the cause? I have an appointment April 21st for an eye exam - should I go sooner now that this has happened? I do not currently wear glasses.

To: FROM EYE MD

Call the eye doctor that is going to check you in April and ask to come in TODAY just to be sure you don't have an eye emergency. Don't wait.
