Floaters are fairly common with FMS, however I have had them ever since I can remember. They can be quite annoying unless you can train yourself to ignore them. I recall as a child telling my mother that I have a "dot" in my eye that moves around. Now I have a whole lot of dots and also lines and corkscrews that move about with my eyeball. Also have a large blur spot that my opthamologist labeled a type of floater, now that has become very annoying!
I don't know if the floaters I'm experiencing with my own eyesight have anything to do with fibro or not, but I read about it that it floaters and dry eye are common with fibro, so this might be something to keep in mind for myself.
I have had problem with things like night driving, for years. I don't believe that is related to my fibromyalgia because it began long before but I know it is common with FMS. Do you by any chance have any other eye problems? I would mention it to your eye doctor just to see what they say. As we get older, our eyes do change in many ways and it can be cause for concern. I had a vitrial detachment of one of my eyes last year and have now a permanent type of blurring in my one eye. This is most likely due to the aging process and as far as I know, nothing to do with fibro. The point I am trying to make is I think any change is worthy of mentioning to your opthamologist.
