Heart palps, fluttering, fullness

I've been having palps for about 3 weeks now and their almost constant. I went to the er the one night and they gave me a EKG and said that they were normal. I also followed up with my doctor. He looked at the EKG report and thinks that it's my stomach putting pressure on my heart from my acid reflux. Does anyone else have this problem?? Does it ever go away?? I've been on Prevacid for about 2 weeks now

thats enough scare to make me have a heart attack, wow sad you went threw that, shame on them, did they see what kind of skips you was having mine are pacs,i know they are not fun, when i get them they are every other heart beat and last at least 24 hours, when i was younger they came a few here and there not now when they come they come by the thousands.

hope they are better today and you did get a little peace of mind from the hospital after that was over . hang in there they will pass, eat smaller meals that might help

Ugh!  I am going through this!!  It's so scary!!
I ended up in the ER as well, and they ran the EKG incorrectly and told me I had a heart attack.  :|  Then the doctor came in and apologized and said they did the EKG wrong.  So I have been in a total state of anxiety!

Anyhow, I have been having palps after eating all the time, and anything at all.

Hi and welcome to the GERD forum.

It is good to have your heart checked and look into your families medical history.

It is often the vagus nerve that can be affected with GERD and have symptoms with heart palps. Did you have your vagus nerve looked at.

Most meds do take time b4 you notice a benefit from them.
