silent gerd in a 6 year old

i have went through the ringer with my 6 year old dughter with silent reflux. she has ll the classic symptoms of it and currently medicade droped her, so on my own i started reserching naturll wys to help with this condition, slippery elm and mrshmallow root was given to her this morning. so i am praying for the best. there is so much mucus that she coughs up everyday atleast 20x a day, this causes a problem in school, i really am at a loss...is there anything that will reduce the mucus build up? this is a constent problem, no helth insurnce sure dosent help, but I m doing what i can do for now trying to help her..any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

  Hi, I would have to ask the same questions as whisperwolf....are u sure it is not something other then GERD/reflux....the amount of mucus seems a bit much.....

  She may have some GERD symptoms as a result of all that mucus draining into her stomach....PND and things like that can trigger flares.....

  May I ask y she was dropped from the ins?...can u get it reinstated?......

You are sure it is gerd? This almost sounds like a respiratory problem, coughing up that much mucus. Has she been checked for Cystic Fibrosis, Asthma,TB?

Also, she could have some other GI disorder other than gerd causing her symptoms.
