Achalasia

I have Achalasia.  I have had laparascopic heller myotomy and partial Fundoplication wrap.  I have changed  from
Nexium to protonix now.  I am having severe chest pains, choking and vomiting.  These are the test that I have
had, barium sallow, manometry, endoscopy,Botox injections and balloon dilatation.  I also had surgery for
Zenker's Diverticulum.  Is there anything else that I can do to help my Achalasia?

I wish I could say it is but it is not.  I have a disc disease and that I think
because of all the surgeries, they are working against each other.  Just
don't anything else to try.  Thanks for your help.

So even a strict GERD-friendly diet isn't helping?

Are you on a GERD-friendly diet (no spicy foods, acidic foods, etc.)?  The Cleveland Clinic is a very good, well known clinic, but I don't know specifically if they are good at treating achalasia.

I have tried soft food.  I don't eat meat and drink juice and a few drinks.
Any suggestions would be great.  I am trying to get in to a new doctor
that treats achalaisa in our area.  Do you know anything about the
Cleveland Clinic?

Thanks,
