Link between low testosterone and constipation?

I have chronic low T and take a shot regularly. I notice that when I don’t take the shot regularly that I have terrible constipation. I have slow bowels anyway from multiple spine and abdomen surgeries, but I can’t help but wonder if there is a link between low testosterone and constipation.
If ANYONE has any information I would greatly appreciate hearing from you all!
Something else I’m dealing with, and wondering if it’s related too, is that I have esophageal spasms and my lower sphincter is extremely tight and just to passing gas I bare down till I’m seeing stars. No joke.

Hello~Changes in hormones may  impact the lower part of the gastrointestinal tract. This can cause a slowing of bowel movements and can result in constipation and probably even the fact that you have a difficult time passing gas.  I really don't know if it could cause the esophageal spams. I would certainly consult your GP about this and ask if he/she has any suggestions.

Thank you! Unfortunately my GP seems to have a limited knowledge base and has referred me to a gastroenterologist. Now is the waiting game to see him, but thank you so much!
Would you happen to know what I should be searching for to be able to do a thorough web search in order to have my ducks in a row when I see the gastroenterologist? I’m terrible at internet searches!

A good place to start would be to type "Hormonal Gastrointestinal" problems. You could also type in Testosterone and gastrointestinal problems, this should give you a good start on the info that you are looking for.
