Moseywd,
I have had this humiliating problem for 7 years now and have never stopped searching for the reason and the cure. From what I`ve learned, bb can be caused more often by
1. teeth and gums problems
2. sinus problems and PND
3. tonsils and tonsil stones
4. reflux, which reaches as far as the throat
5.some say helicobacter pylori may trigger bb too
Personally I believe my bb is caused either by reflux reaching the throat (it`s called laryngopharyngeal reflux) or h.pylori. Right now I am taking medication for fast stomach emptying and just finished a course of antibiotics for h.pylori eradication. But I have been getting no rections for a couple of days.
So, do not give up serching and eventually u will find the reason and the cure, trust me
i read up on colloidal silver. there is so much contraversey, but if you look at the blue man who is the only one who has ever gotten it, you can see proven that the only possible side effect is blueness. doctors who use it, promote is, while people who have never tried it say its dangerous.
i use it, and i got to say that clear stuff isnt what you want for this. you want the yellowish kind. what happens is that there are a **** tone of enzimes in your mouth and so on. colloidal silver takes out oxygen from enzymes, which are the food for bacteria, and viruses. thats the way they breathe is from eating. therefore you kill any bacteria that causes stuff. some might take longer than others. but withen a couple of weeks youll see an improvement in your health.
Food sensitivities can aggravate your digestive issues and even cause your breath to be a lot worse. My GERD is a lot better now that I've gotten my food sensitivities under control. The bonus is that my breath is better when my stomach issues are under control. All this without any more need to take PPI's.
Moseywd, has your doc checked mouth bacteria? Sometimes despite decent oral hygiene, certain forms of bacteria can ruin everything. Not all dentists subscribe to the theory, so they don't do extensive testing. It might be worth checking with someone who does.
Are you suffering from NERD and not GERD? I'm asking because you're EGD was normal but you're taking Nexium.
In some cases people can be having problems with their gallbladders and that - when the tissues are deterioating - can result in breath odor.
You might also consider trying some probiotics - the good bacteria you should have in your GI tract. If those bacteria are 'off,' and the by-products of their digestion is malodorous gas, it's possible it may show up as the product of exhalation.
