Does this sensation mean fecal impactation?

I was recently prescribed Hydrocodone for back pain. For the past few days I have felt a pushing sensation up past the anal canal (possibly in my rectum) but there is nothing in there that I can tell to push out. I took a laxative twice and the second time I had movement. The feeling is still there though. I have never had this "pushing sensation" this far up before. Does this sound like impactation and would an enema even work since I do not see/feel anything to move?
