How can you tell if your tummy discomfort is caused by food allergy?

How can I differ it from other possible gastro problems? I'm a very allergic person
yet I'm usually prone with tummy problems (and yes, the doc that i usually visit every year is my gastroenterologist, except i didnt get to see her this year coz im trying to see if i could tolerate and ignore some pains)

I would see a naturopath for proper guidance on a food elimination diet to help determine food sensitivities.  These sensitivities usually don't show up with standard allergy tests.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  The answer to your question really depends on the type of food allergy, but if you think you might have food allergies you should get tested for them or try eliminating different foods from your diet and see if that helps.
