Post Gallbladder Diet

Having gallbladder out on Fri, concerned about diet after surgery.  Any suggestions?  Can I still drink diet soda afterwards?

My daughter was given unrestricted diet but you probably won't want the carbonation for quite some time bcz you will have your own type of "gas" to contend with.

Many people find it helps to maintain a low fat diet after gallbladder surgery since you will not be able to process fats as you did before the surgery and it may take some time for your system to adjust to not having the gallbladder.

I stayed low fat for a few weeks after and did fine. I was scared by that first meatball sandwich but for me I can eat anything now. I may be luckier than some but it's good to be carefull after GB surgery.
