Stomach Problems

No period for two months, and other than my two pregnancies, I have never missed a period.  I am NOT pregnant, already had that confirmed.  I am having stomach cramps mainly every morning for about 2-3 weeks.  I now have a fullness of stomach, food coming back up in my esophagus and can't finish all my food.  I am 33, I have other health problems that we are tying to diagnose, but I keep getting stomach issues here and there.  Last "flare Up" was in Nov/Dec 2011, doc ordered ultrasound and nothing was wrong, I took prilosec for 6 weeks, and at some point the stomach pain left.  Now, it is back.  I know I need to see a gastro, but, anyone have similar symptoms.  No diarrhea, no constipation (so far).  Just tired of being sick all the time and need some suggestions so I can help the doctors help me.

Well my doc just took 8 tubes of blood, and she said she was doing tests that the other doc I saw didn't do, so maybe one of those are in there.  To be continured....

They are blood tests that look at levels in your blood of things like potassium, calcium, etc.

I have no idea what those are, so I'm guessing I did not.  Like I said, I am in the process of figuring it out.  Got an appt with a rheumy this morning..... So, I'm back to square one.

Have you had a BMP (basic metabolic panel) or Chem7 done?

I am having serious joint pain, muscle pain, chest pain, headaches, just overall body pain..... One doc thinks I have fibromyalagia.  I am going to a rheumatologist for a second opinion tomorrow.  I also have lost 21 pounds since November without any dieting or exercising.  Other than that, I am doing great :)  Actually, though I am going through all of this, I am a happy person, so I'm doing fine emotionally, just need my body to catch up with my mind!

Do you mind telling us what other issues you are having?  It might help us figure out what is causing your GI symptoms.

To be honest, the chance of you having lyme disease but not remembering having a bite, is very very low.

Well, other people have asked me that on other forums for other things that I am dealing with.....But, I have no idea.  I have no pets, I am not the outdoorsy type of girl.  I live in a city, stay away from bugs, so I don't know.  Maybe I need to look into that.  Because people keep asking me about that on other health problems......

I just happened to be reading this and this may seem out of left field but have you been tested for Lyme disease? I kept missing periods and had no idea that was also a symptom of Lyme. I do have Lyme and at least i know why my periods were so messed up. Good luck to you!

I am definitely well nourished.  I eat very well and regularly.  I, however, since you brought it up, had lost 21 pounds since November, without doing anything.  No dieting, no exercising, so I've been wondering about that.  But, aside from that, I eat healthy and normal........ Now, as far as no period, I went to a doc who said the rule is "No period for 3 months, see your GYN", so I have to wait one more month for that.  I have battled stomach issues before in my twenties, acid reflux, heartburn, so I don't know if it is coming back, or if I have IBS, OR if this has some relation to another health problem that I am in the midst of diagnosing......

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  Are you properly nourished (not underweight or have been diagnosed with malnutrition)?  Have you seen a gynocologist about this?
