Diagnosed with EPI, but MRI shows no abnormality of pancreas and other organs

I have been diagnosed with EPI for years now, had two MRI scans of the abdomen with two different doctors. Both scans showed normal results of the pancreas, and neither doctor was able to offer an explanation to the cause of EPI. Doctors have also ruled out Crohn's disease. I have been on Creon to help with digestion for the past year, but my bowel movements keep on getting worse and I still get nausea from eating from time to time. My current doctor suggests that it is up to me to continue the Creon or not, as she doesn't have better suggestions for me at the moment. What other things should I try? Maybe a different doctor?
