need advise

I have a issue of if i go poop once a day no problem but twice in one day my butt hole is very tender, sore. And even the first time Its tender and I have to shower because it eritates me the rest of the day. Is there an over the counter ointment i could use? I did find out i had a tear at my butt hole and am using some sort of foam my GP gave me.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  You can try putting some aquaphor around your rectum.  What foam are you using?

Dean, have you discussed the problem with your GP? You mention a tear and using a product that was given to you by the doc, so what you're dealing with may not be a 'simple' fix. Please consider calling your doc and to try to find out what you can do to help remedy the situation.

I guess last year I had a hard stool. and I got a tear around the spencter. I told doc a GP and he refered me to a Gastro guy. This person did a scope up my butt. never mentioned the tear. I went back to the GP and he gave me proctofoam AER HC 1 percent.
I am looking for some sort of ointment that will be soothing.
I am regular in the mornings, I drink a fiber drink every day to make things smooth. After I go and if I dont shower i feel discomfort all day.
Wierd, I know. but thats the issue.
