For the pain and fever you can take over the counter pain relief medication and Ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is not suitable for everyone, and you would have to take it with or after food. If you do use the pain relief medications and Ibuprofen, then stagger the times when you take these.
Drink plenty of water and fruit juices so as not to get dehydrated.
Once you are well and your body has built up an immunity to the virus, it stays in your system.
