Usually when induction is needed they will schedule about a week out from your last doctor visit. Sometimes sooner, if the baby looks like they may be in minor distress. Ask your provider how soon they can get you in. My last baby was induced because he was starting to run a little late in arriving. Plus I had been in and out of physical therapy due to him sitting on my (syonic?) nerve located in my lower extremities of my back. (Little stinker!) Don't worry. It didn't take me long, when being induced, before my body started doing everything it was suppose to do. It just needed a little help to get things started. I am sure everything will go well for you. Take care.
I want you to be cautious about being induced. You don't want to end up with an unnecessary C-Section. 40 weeks is the ideal length of pregnancy, you've made it this far, trust God, pray and let him help you. Your body made your baby and your body knows when to deliver your baby. All the best.
they will schedule you for you to be induced when they think its safe or necessary i was due the 15 of jan 2005 and they set me up to be induced on the 20 i went into labor on the 29 and they went ahead and induced me on the 20th because i had not had the baby yet
