Been having pain in my shoulder for months

I've been having this pain in my right shoulder for a few months now, its usually just a dull ache when I'm resting but it becomes sharper when I move my arm a certain way, when I lift something heavy or when I tug on something. Recent examples have been when I'm saddling a horse or when I'm controlling a horse using arm strength. It hurts the most when I'm leading a horse from the ground. Most of the time its not super bad, and I can function normally with it, but there are sometimes when it really bothers me. I can't pinpoint a specific time it started. It doesn't hurt when I put pressure on it and it only sometimes hurts when I move it. No other part of my body hurts and I don't recall injuring my shoulder at all.

Our bodies are so complex, the original injury could have happened many years back and whenever the point of injury is stressed pain will flare up. You need to get an xray for sure, maybe an MRI. I'd be interested in hearing what the tests bring to light. Take it easy and enjoy the horses. It sounds like a dream to be able to work with horses as you do. I'm so glad you have that blessing in your life. :)
