tiny yellow itchy bumps on eyelid

I had catarac surgery in both eyes about a year ago, about 6 months ago my left eyelid became red, itchy with small yellowish bumps along the lash line.I saw my eye Dr. 3 times and he told me to hold hot compresses on it several times a  day. It seems as if I'm looking through an oily haze. I have tried the hot compress deal with no results...I'm sick of it,any suggestions of what to do next?

Small yellowish bumps along the lash line are sometimes associated with developing liver failure, common in alcoholics (though the bumps do NOT mean you abuse alcohol). I would get a second opinion.

Is it just bumps or is it flaky bumps..like a crust?
Try using baby wash (tear free) and then applying the warm compress.
Honestly, it sounds like multiple sty problem / pimple lid.
I really hope it goes away soon! If not, go see your regular doctor for a second opinion!
