Can CT scans evaluate things attached outside the body? Such as if I have an cyst which appears to be on my lower abdomen.. Or will a skin biopsy be needed?
Because I've had a CT which said I have an uncomplicated cyst in the med portion of my right kidney which relates with the CT that I have on my right abdomen which can be seen with the naked eye and I've had a skin biopsy for it. I'm regretting whether the skin biopsy was needed if the CT had already evaluated it for being an uncomplicated cyst since the biopsy will leave scars.
