I have been using halls cough drops for while , can't get over the cough which. Still has some white mucus . Sometimes in spasms , making my back hurt , any ideas
I had gone to the doctor a few weeks ago - said my lungs sounded clear but that the cough could last for a few weeks. It seems to be getting a little better. Now I just have this weird tongue problem. I haven't had many cough drops in the past few days, one or two a day so I'm not sure why my tongue is still feeling this way. It seems more bothered at the tip - and it also seems like when saliva collects on it, it gets a strange sensation (like the feeling of something bitter or salty...) It's hard to explain. I have some health anxiety issues, so I'm really trying not to get overly concerned about this. Oh also, my doctor did give me a prescription for both an allergy medication and something for heart burn as he thought the persistent mucus problem I've been having could be caused by one of those two things... Thanks for your input!!
I would see your doctor since the cough has not left yet.
Sounds like you are eating too many cough drops. They contain menthol which has a anesthetic effect; probably why your tongue "feels strange."
How long have you had the cough? You need to investigate why you have the cough. Any medical history or allergies, asthma or acid reflux problems?
No physician's visit?
