When you can, go and make an appointment to see your doctor to check your tendons and to see if there are any trapped nerves.

As it is hurting when you are messaging, then do not do that.  Apply a cold compress to the arm and wrap it in a bandange to give it support.  I am getting the picture that the worst problem is in your wrist.

Do not use that arm or hand, keep it supported by a bandage or wrist suport.  You can take some pain relief in the recommended dosage.

It very much sounds that there is compression of a nerve and possibly in the carpal tunnel.  If you ignore the symptoms and continue using the hand, the condition will get much worse.

If you have a job that is repetitive, inform your employer so that steps can be taken to help not to worsen your condition.

Hello cms9311,

I just read your comments. I agree with the other two posters amr100 and
jemma116 that you should have this checked out immediately. I would
have someone drive you to the ER. If your symptoms have worsened since
you last posted, perhaps you should call an ambulance. I live in Canada.
Here you call 911. With this number you can obtain an ambulance.
I would not suggest that you drive to the ER yourself. Any symptoms like
this need to be attended to asap.  I wish you well.

I agree with amr100 that you do need to get this checked out.

The problem may be from your heart.  Or may also be from pinched nerves in the neck area of your spine.  Hands that have sensations of numbness can also be from carpal tunnel problems and tendon problems.

Best wishes

Yes  Go to the ER. Better safe than sorry. Sounds like a heart attack to me.
