It is not worth the gamble. There is a higher probability of genetic defects in such a marriage.
It isn't conventional but the kids wont necessarily be negatively affected. The drawback is the the pool for any genetic drawbacks that runs within your uncles side of the family will have a higher chance of passing onto the children since both you and your partner carry similar genetic makeup on that side of the family. Do you have any disorders, mental or physical, that you suspect you acquired from your uncles side of the family? If so it is more likely but not for sure that your child will acquire the same. Its more an issue of ethics in my opinion, which should be decided by you and only you.
Best of luck!

The daughter of your first uncle is your first cousin, and biologically unfit for reproduction with you, because your DNA is so similar. Blessings - Blu
