Dry eyes and contacts

My eyes have been dry now after I have been regularly using contacts that were quite old. This has been happening for at least the last several days, and I have switched to glasses in the meantime. Will my eyes recover? I have set up an appointment with the eye doctor, but I'm extremely worried I may never be able to wear contacts again.

Any possible insight would be very helpful. Thank you!

Are you staying hydrated?  Are you in a new environment that has ceiling air vents?  There are a number of reasons you may be experiencing dry eyes, but most are reversible.

when wearing contacts your have try not to but your dirty hand in your eyes. but maybe its because the contacts are old. il think its not anything that serious, but should go see your doctor soon

use optive eye drops  (natural tears ) 6x a day. till you see your dr. Depending on type of contact lens it should not be worn for longer than 8 hours a day . I think you should be able to wear contact lenses again
