Extreme itching to heat

Almost every time I get really heated up my back itches badly. I thought of Miliaria but as I've noticed, there are never any rashes on my back and this has been happening for years. For instance, when I take hot shower, if I spray hot water on my back, it starts itching and if I keep doing it the itching turns into pain, becomes excruciating sometimes. I've never pushed it though. The onset is instant and it can happen when I exercise, when I'm in warm places with heavy clothes, whenever I'm very warm, really. My blood pressure it a bit high for my age, 14/8 or so and I've noticed I can handle cold far better than other people. Any ideas?

I see. Thanks, will do. I dismissed it since this has been happening for years, thought I was supposed to get better from Miliaria much, much faster on my own.

As you originally stated - it just may be Miliaria/Prickly Heat/Sweat rash..  If the small papules are on your back, they may be flesh colored and unnoticable.  Prickly heat can be mild to severe.   I get this sometimes when the water is too hot.   Have someone look at your back after you have gotten out of the shower.

Thanks for the reply, but wouldn't that cause a rash or something? As I said, I've never noticed any rashes on my back, or anywhere else for that matter. Am I just missing them or does it present itself without rashes?

The most common reason for the itching is cholinergic urticaria, a term for an elevation in body temperature which causes your body to react with itching, warm skin, and bumpy hives. If you get itchy in warm weather, saunas, and other warm conditions, you may have this condition, but you should talk to a doctor to be sure. The use of antihistamines can help to control the reaction and make you more comfortable.
