Gall Bladder Surgery

My aunt undergone with gall bladder surgery after identification of polyps in her recent ultrasound reports..
After surgery the gall bladder has been removed and surgeon told us that he couldn't seen any polyps in gall bladder during surgery and sent it to lab for more clarification. Lab reports also narrates no polyps found in gall bladder.

Please advise on the above matter.

I have heard way too many stories recently of people getting their gallbladder out on a surgeon's recommendation, and then questioning that decision afterwards.  I am getting the impression that surgeons are way too quick to recommend gallbladder removal, as if it were an unnecessary organ and easily dispensed with.

I think your aunt has a legitimate complaint against her radiologist and surgeon.  It serves as another sad reminder to get a second, unbiased opinion before getting surgery.

Eish I am so sick of Surgeons!!!!! My kid had her's removed as the scan showed a gallstone...When they went it - there was NO gallstone...... Its the biggest mistake of my lift for telling the surgeon to go ahead with the removal because of this so called "gallstone" ....I want to sue the *____________* ..

I think the surgeon should check with the radiologist who read the ultrasound for his take on the discrepancy.
