Why does my stomach still hurt?

I was sick for about 4 days, I couldn’t keep any food down so I was taking a bunch of different types of medicine on an empty stomach. I’ve been over my sickness for about 2 days now but I have a stomach pain that’s very intense and I still can’t eat much food. It hurts to move a lot and I continuously feel like I’m about to throw up. What do I do?

Sorry you were so sick!  So, when we vomit, we use a lot of muscles.  It's hard on our body and we can get muscular pain from that.  We'll be sore after.  You sound like you are still recovering even though you aren't throwing up.  I would work on hydration first.  Take small sips of water at a time instead of gulping.  Your stomach is irritated and a large influx of liquid would likely make you feel like vomiting again.  Then when you begin to feel more hungry, there is something called the brat diet.  Brat stands for bananas, rice, applesauce and toast.  This is soothing to our digestive track.  Now, maybe . . . with the pain you describe, it was related to your gallbladder.  Is the pain in the center of your stomach but up high?  If the pain is intense and continues, seek advice from your medical caregiver.  Hope you are all better soon!
