Is this idea good or crazy? (surgery and pain related)

Hello,

I will have 2 minor surgeries coming up, one of them is the removal of 2 wisdom teeth, the other is an outpatient urological procedure in my scrotum.

Though minor, there will still be pain from both of them. The dates are not set, but I'm trying to get them as close to each other as possible (maybe 2-3 days apart).

My logic is that this way I will only have to go through one week (or one term) of pain meds, instead of being on pain meds one week, getting off them, and then having to get on pain meds again after the 2nd surgery. Am I crazy? Does this make any sense? Do you agree or disagree with my plan?

P.S.-I also have GI problems so I don't want to be taking too many meds for too often.

I agree to go ahead if OK with both surgeons.

When I had my wisdom teeth extracted I didn't need any pain meds. but that's me. have you spoken to both surgeons about your plan? If they said it's a go then OK ! Have you asked if you will be on any meds besides pain meds?
